This English curriculum is designed to build students' confidence and proficiency in spoken English through a structured progression from foundational language skills to real-world communication. Students begin by learning the alphabet, phonics, pronunciation, vocabulary, sentence structure, and grammar before advancing to conversational English and storytelling.
The program emphasizes active speaking through guided conversations, role-playing, group discussions, and interactive activities that improve fluency, pronunciation, and confidence. Speaking assessments are conducted after every three modules, during which groups of five students deliver a one- to two-minute presentation to demonstrate their communication skills and reinforce previous lessons.
Each module is paired with a worksheet that strengthens reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension. By integrating all four core language skills, the curriculum prepares students to communicate confidently in academic, professional, and everyday settings.
Sports Equipment
→ Souls of Humanity
During our previous visit to India, many students shared that the poor condition and limited availability of sports equipment prevented them from fully participating in recreational activities. To promote physical activity, teamwork, and student engagement, we partnered with Souls of Humanity to provide new equipment for their most popular sports.
The donation included six cricket bats, twenty tennis balls, two wicket sets, four volleyballs with a net and air pump, and four outdoor soccer balls. These resources enable more students to participate in organized games, encouraging teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy, active lifestyles while providing lasting benefits for the school community.
Community Library
→ Pratham Books
To promote literacy and a love of reading, we partnered with Pratham Books to provide the school with a hanging library containing approximately 100–150 books in both Telugu and English, ranging from beginner to advanced reading levels. The English books were selected to complement our English curriculum, reinforcing vocabulary, grammar, and reading comprehension through independent practice.
Beyond supporting classroom learning, the library encourages literacy, critical thinking, and lifelong learning by providing students with accessible, age-appropriate books. Building on this initiative, we are also working to partner with another NGO to establish a community library that will provide educational resources for teenagers and adults.
